Exploring the Great Wall

The first invitational PQ race in China, proved to be a worthy conquest for all the participants. The course set by Maria Burton, CEO & Race Director was again a challenging course set with many rewards that honoured and explored the historic landscape. ‘We were thrilled to have permissions to explore both ancient sections of the Great Wall and restored sections, on foot and with bike. Designing and setting the course was such a thrill. I was surprised we could include such amazing segments and thankful to have had the privilege of doing so. When pre-running the course there was no doubt a very mystical sense that you felt in such historical surroundings.’
