A beautiful, long and wild trek that takes teams deep into the seldom visited Eyre Mountains. Once they have departed Halfway Bay Station they have a number of route options ahead of them. First up they can decide to head east or west around Bay Peaks. Either way affords beautiful views along high ridge lines. Teams can then choose to attack CP27 from Lambing Saddle or Mt Dick. Both have their merits and challenges. From CP27 there is still work to do and teams will have to negotiate the climb from Robert Creek and then the tricky bush that leads down towards Kingston and the final Transition of the race.
